I would like to be clear that this compilation of prayers, poems, and perspectives is not meant to defend God: He does not need my defense. Rather, this is a book of God communicating to and through me, and my hope is that it reveals the same to you. We live in a time where people have become consumed with the physical world, and there is just not enough updated material that connects us to the Spirit. I want it to be very obvious that this book is for the next generation; to take how they will, to learn from, and to build on top of. Overall, I want this book to be used as a key to opening conversations about the richness of every person's life, the beauty in finding one's individuality, and the peace that comes from trusting our relationship with God. As our final days draw closer, it is more important now, than it has ever been, to recognize that the God of the past is the same God that is alive right now and the Holy Spirit has never stopped seeking creation. It is in creative expression that God hides, and in my poems I have found that God was uncovering simple, yet profound, truths that can be applied to anything. The remarkable thing about this collection is that it was never written with the intent of being turned into a book, and therefore, every set of eyes that beholds it, is truly meant to. As you continue your spiritual journey, with this book as a muse, I encourage you to read each page out loud, for even God spoke to see results.
